::Instafriday:: (On Monday)

I'm kind of obsessed with Instagram. Possibly my favorite app. Anyways, Instafriday will be on here every Friday. Shoulda been on here last Friday but ya know...Life happens. Don't judge me : )

 Here is my week Instagramed.

If I make chocolate chip pancakes for no apparent reason, I am in a super good mood. Friday was one of those days. Jaxsen loved them! They are vegan pancakes AND the best homemade pancakes I've ever had. And I'm not just saying that. Jaxsen has been boycotting my food lately so it was nice to see her
eat without force. She isn't in to the whole healthy eating thing.

I was making our grocery list and I asked her what her favorite food was and she said,
 "bacon, fruit snacks, cupcakes."

Great.

Dinner. Fake ham is pretty good.

Don't cha just love getting dressed up for no reason? NOT I! I got all fancy but missed my  appointment because I clearly can't read a map. Oh well, back into my jammies I went.

Her first sick day.

We stayed awake until 3am because she wasn't feeling good. She woke up at 8am and acted like she didn't miss a minute of sleep. I woke up counting down the minutes until nap time.

 Morning cup of tea.

Have a great week!!!

Green Smoothie Recipe

When I switched to a vegan diet, I started incorporating green smoothies into my daily routine. They give me so much energy! I actually ditched my morning coffee and now I start my day with this green goddess. Which is a HUGE deal for me. "Hi, my name is Aisha and I am a recovering coffee addict."  Anywho, you can't taste the spinach or kale at all. So if you're not a huge veg fan, this is the drink for you. Your kids will love it and it's a great way to sneak some veggies into their systems. The benefits to drinking these are endless. I love how much energy I have. My skin and hair are lookin' a lot healthier too! Ok, here's the recipe.

  • A blender
  • 2 cups of spinach or kale
  • 3/4 cup of water or your preferred milk
  • 1 cup of frozen or fresh fruit
  • Ice
  • 1/2 banana
Keep in mind, my blender is small and only makes enough for me. If you want more, double the recipe. You can add peanut butter, coconut, ginger, agave nectar, honey, yogurt, anything you want!

Put everything in the blender and blend away.

Now it is time to enjoy!

What is your favorite smoothie recipe?

Introducing My Little Sunshine

This is My Little Sunshine.
Her name is Jaxsen.
She is my pride and joy and life with her is full of surprises and happiness.

Yet sometimes, that cute little face can be awfully difficult.
My Little Sunshine can quickly turn into

My Little Cloud
My Little Headache
My Little Tantrum in Target

Despite the poop accident in the kitchen,
using our dog as a live art project,
or telling the cashier at Hobby Lobby that I "pooed" (I didn't)

She is ALWAYS
My Happiness
My Inspiration
My Everything

Nothing in life is sweeter than being her momma.
